Lahore police still working on ‘mystery death’ of maid

Police have been unable to solve the mystery surrounding the death of 30-year-old Aleeza, a housemaid, in Johar Town area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Police are investigating the incident from different angles and are trying to find out whether the girl was murdered or she committed suicide.
On the other hand, 24News has managed to obtain the CCTV footage of the incident in which she could be seen falling from the roof of the home.
Police, however, are of the view it appeared that the girl might have died by suicide. However, the post-mortem report of the deceased is awaited so that the exact reason of her death could be ascertained, the Force have said.
On the other hand, Aleeza’s husband Asad Ali has already got an FIR registered against the house owner Sheikh Anees and his daughters.
The incident of the maid’s death had taken place on the morning of April 26.
Her family alleged that Aleeza, who had got married recently, was murdered.
They said that Aleeza had been working at the residence for some time.
On the day of the incident, Aliza went to work but was later found dead in the courtyard with blood coming from her nose and mouth, the family told the police.
Police said they had taken owner of the house into custody.
They said that a case had been registered, and further investigation was underway.
