A consumer court in Lahore issued a decree on Tuesday against the owner of Bareeze Shop in Iqbal Town for refusing return of poor-quality clothes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Consumer Court Judge Adnan Mushtaq ordered the shopkeeper to immediately pay Rs7,600 as a refund and Rs35,000 in damages to the petitioner.
Muhammad Kashif of Iqbal Town had filed in the court a lawsuit against the shopkeeper for Rs357,000 in damages.
He, in his petition, maintained that he had brought different pieces of clothes from the shop which later turned out to be of substandard and poor quality. “But, despite the complaint, the shopkeeper did not change it,” he had added.
