In a persistent effort to bring her father's murderer to justice, model Maham Amjad finds herself locked in a frustrating battle for extradition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

The suspect, Taqi Haider Shah, accused of the murder of Muhammad Ahmad Amjad on August 26, 2008, remains out of reach as diplomatic endeavours face delays, according to credible sources closely following the case.

Sources reveal that the Ministry of Interior has, on multiple occasions, furnished all required documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in hopes of accelerating the process. However, these attempts have hit a wall as the extradition documents crucial to the case have yet to be presented to the authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where the suspect currently resides.

An intergovernmental avenue for Taqi Haider Shah's extradition does exist, supported by an agreement between Pakistan and the UAE. Interpol, too, has issued a red notice for Shah's arrest, heightening international awareness of his status as a wanted individual in Pakistan.

Government sources emphasize that diplomatic channels need to be activated at a heightened pace to bring the accused back to Pakistani jurisdiction.

Model and actress Maham Amjad, driven by her personal tragedy and her pursuit of justice, resorted to utilizing social media to uncover her father's murderer.

Through her relentless efforts, she traced the whereabouts of Taqi Haider Shah, reigniting the hope for closure in her family's decade-old pain.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in tandem with the Pakistani Embassy in the UAE, has taken on the challenge of pushing forward the extradition process.

However, Maham Amjad has expressed her concerns over alleged non-cooperation by the embassy, suggesting that vital documents are being concealed within the confines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
