JUI won’t compromise on freedom of speech: Fazl 

Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that JUI was against fake news but there will be no compromise on freedom of speech, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. 

Talking to media in Dina, JUI Chief said on the PECA Act, President Zardari had admitted that he would listen to the journalists but later signed it. 

Zadari had further said that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi would listen to the journalists, but later Zardari signed the bill. 

Fazl said JUI was in favor of blocking the way of fake news but after the promulgation of PECA Act there was possibility that this law will be used against journalists.

JUI Chief said if sharia laws were postponed because there was a possibility of its misuse, then why the government did not listened to the journalists concerns over the establishment’s bill.
