Cabinet approves hike in petroleum dealers’ margin by Rs7 per litre

The government has further burdened the masses, who are already concerned due to whooping inflation as the federal cabinet on Saturday approved increasing dealers’ margin on petrol and diesel by Rs7 per litre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources, the federal cabinet has approved increasing dealers' margin on petrol and diesel through circulation.
According to details, the government has approved an increase in dealer margin on diesel by Rs2.87. As a result, the dealer per litre on diesel has been increased from Rs 4.13 to Rs 7.
While the dealer margin on petrol has been increased by Rs 2.10 per litre. As a result, the dealer margin per litre on petrol has been increased from Rs 4.90 to Rs 7.
The increase in dealers’ margin will be effective from August 1. Sources privy to the matter said that the prices of POL products are likely to increase further as the citizens will bear the additional burden of petroleum product prices.
Earlier, a nationwide strike was called by the petroleum dealers on July 18.
