Terrorists attacked a check post of security forces in Khyber area with hand grenade and shot fires, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, terrorists attacked a joint police and FC check post with hand grenades in Spain Qabar area in the vicinity of Bara police station in Khyber district with hand grenades and fired heavily at the check post, but no casualties were reported.
Police and FC jawans retaliated immediately after the attack, as a result of which the terrorists escaped.
On Thursday, the security forces killed a terrorist in the Bagh area of the Khyber district and seized arms and ammunition.
On Friday, the troops killed two terrorists in the Gomal Zam area of South Waziristan district, the military media wing said.
The dead were actively involved in terrorist activities against civilians and security forces.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has seen a surge in terrorist attacks since late last year when the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) ended its ceasefire with Islamabad.
In light of the rising militancy, Pakistan's government has warned Afghanistan against providing safe havens to the banned TTP — a terrorist organisation targeting security forces.
