Liquor and beer prices hiked by 15% in Punjab

The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has increased the rates of liquor and beer by 15 percent once again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Bottles of liquor and beer have increased from Rs31 to Rs120. Director General Punjab Excise department has issued the notification in this regard.

Earlier, the Excise department had increased the rates by 15 percent a few months ago.

According to notification issued on Tueday, the price of a bottle of Lion whiskey has been increased by Rs114 to Rs1173 while the price of classical whiskey has been fixed by Rs113 to Rs2411.

The price of Vintage whiskey has been fixed at Rs113 to Rs2018 while the price of a cane of beer has been fixed at Rs560 from Rs531.

The concerned companies have been informed about the increase in the prices of liquor and beer.
