Sharmeen Obaid blasts Sonya Hussyn for bashing Mahira Khan 

We are about to reveal an interesting tale of influential women ‘dissing’ each other which reflects highly on the industry’s incapability to remain unified.

Pakistani actress Sonya Hussyn was spotted at Yasir Hussain‘s ‘The After Moon Show’ way back in 2018.

According to the norm, the actress indulged in various sessions where she was brutally honest and during those ‘straight-forward’ casualties Sonya revealed how she wouldn’t ever have signed for the Bollywood project Raees, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan.

This was Sonya’s response to Yasir asking her a very ‘smart’ question which was perfect for generating massive views.

Mr Hussain asked the actress that if she would have been in Mahira’s place which movie of hers she wouldn’t have signed for?

Well Miss Sonya declared that she doesn’t prefer being a side-kick, not even to the Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan so she would have definitely said ‘no’ to Raees.

After two long years this particular interview is again doing rounds on social media which made Oscar-winning director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy express her two cents regarding Sonya’s remark about Mahira.

And just to be clear. Sharmeen chooses to respond to this particular topic after TWO years.

That’s a bit daft, no?         

So Sharmeen thinks that Sonya can never be in the place of superstar Mahira Khan so she might not have to take a decision regarding signing projects of Mahira’s aptitude.

She further mentioned that Sonya shouldn’t stoop low and target other women of the industry.

And then she attacked actress Sonya on her ‘poor upbringing’.

Wow. That’s harsh!

However, let’s tell you something interesting. Social media users have pointed out that Sharmeen dissing another member of the industry after two long years also reflects on the oscar-winner’s upbringing because she is attempting to indulge in what she has protested against herself.

Which is criticizing Sonya Hussyn by attacking her on why she might never be the kind of actress that Mahira Khan is.

Women attacking women. Sigh.
