As the news aired on 24NewsHD TV channel, the SSP took notice of the incident and sent an investigation team to the spot. At this moment, SSP Umerkot Asif Raza said that if the camel was amputated alive, the criminals would be punished accordingly.

SSP Umerkot ordered DSP Kanri to conduct an immediate inquiry into the incident. The SHO Kanri, along with a veterinary officer, reached the spot, investigated the dead animal incident, and perform a post-mortem examination.

According to the initial reports, the camel was amputated after death, and this is an attempt to incite anxiety and restlessness in the area. However, we are still waiting for the post-mortem report to confirm this.

Earled this month, in Sanghar's Mundh Jamrao area, a landlord and his employees allegedly tortured a camel, amputating its leg for straying into his land.

The incident, captured on video, sparked widespread condemnation and led to the arrest of six suspects, who were remanded for two days.

The injured camel, now named Cammie, was moved to Karachi for treatment and rehabilitation by a non-governmental organization.

Bioniks Pakistan is preparing an artificial limb for Cammie, and a harness structure has been set up to help the camel stand.
