Pakistani workers participate in entertainment event in Saudi Arab

Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday participated in an entertainment event organized to provide a much-needed break from routine life in Riyadh, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Hundreds of workers away from their homeland participated in the event sponsored by Habib Bank. Several dignities including former Pakistani cricketers Muhammad Irfan and Imran Nazir attended the event.
Children were enthralled to compete in various games. Youths played cricket, and table tennis and took part in several other group activities.
Large crowds gathered to watch the teams compete in a cricket tournament, tug of war and musical chairs.
A poetry session (mushaira) highlighted participants’ literary values alongside a quiz competition was also part of the event.
Women had their share of enjoyment with performances, riddles and jokes.
On this occasion, the official of Habib Bank and Pakistani cricketers appreciated the role of Pakistani workers and said that hundreds of thousands Pakistani workers living in Saudi Arabia are the backbone of the country's economy. They urged the workers to send their money through legal method.
