Prize bonds encashment date extended till Sept 30, 2021

The government has extended the date for encashment of prize bonds worth Rs25,000 and Rs40,000 for another four months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to a finance ministry notification, the last date for the encashment/redemption of prize bonds worth Rs25,000 and Rs40,000 has been extended from May 31 to Sept 30, 2021.
While the Rs7,500 denomination prize bonds could be encashed/redeemed by December 31, 2021. Rs15,000 prize bonds could be encashed by June 30, 2021; whereas the encashment date for Rs40,000 denomination prize bond has been extended till Sept 30, 2021, according to the notification.

The prize bonds could be encashed/redeemed/converted from the State Bank of Pakistan and its 16 sub-offices across the country.
People could also encash/redeem prize bonds through their own bank accounts and six commercial banks in the country, the notification added.
