Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said Monday that the Supreme Court (SC) would not allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to use its shoulders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media outside a court of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Islamabad, the Sindh chief minister said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led the most successful long march.
While commenting on the alleged audio leak of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and property tycoon Malik Riaz, Murad Ali Shah said that the alleged audio was rejected by neither Asif Ali Zardari nor Imran Khan, then it would have been true.
He lambasted the previous PTI government and said that the Imran Khan-led government was a mafia, adding that the country could not be run through mafias.
The Sindh chief minister also said that he had appeared in the NAB cases for 15 to 20 times, adding that all those nominated in the NAB cases would emerge successful.
He also announced to collect the cost of travel from Karachi to Islamabad from NAB.
Murad stated that policemen were tortured during the PTI’s long march, adding: “The government takes precautionary measures when there are talks of violence and chaos.”
He also said that the PTI workers protested in Karachi without permission, adding: “If they had a plan to protest, they should have obtained permission. We would have allotted a place for them.”
The Sindh chief minister said that no one would stop peaceful protests.
Earlier, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah arrived in Islamabad to appear before the NAB court.
