Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, special assistant to Punjab chief minister on information, has denied the reports that the Punjab government has imposed a ban on wedding ceremonies at marriage halls in the province.
Dr Firdous said in a tweet on Sunday evening that marriage halls would continue to work as per previous directives and follow the SOPs and schedule given to them earlier. She said that a statement issued by Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid about a ban on wedding ceremonies at marriage halls was her personal opinion.
