As Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan on Friday claimed that a clear rift had developed in the Sharif family, PML-N Punjab Spokesperson Azma Bokhari responded by stating that the party narrative “begins and ends with Nawaz Sharif”.
In a statement, she said former dictator Pervez Musharraf had made a failed attempt to create differences between Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
Efforts were being made to divide and weaken the Sharif family for the last 30 years, Azma noted. She said Maryam and Hamza Shehbaz were on the same page and advised the provincial minister to worry about “their page” as “your pages have started to be flipped”.
She questioned how PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq’s discussion of body language weakened the state. “Is Fawad Chaudhry’s admission about the Pulwama attack a proof of being a patriotic citizen?”
The PML-N Punjab spokesperson said selling the traitor certificates would not save Imran Khan and added that those robbing the votes and ballot boxes would be sent packing by Maryam, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Earlier in the day, Chohan told a press conference that Maryam had get the PML-N registered in her name and the family of Shehbaz wasn’t even allowed to enter Jati Umra.
He said Fazl had made it clear to Nawaz and Maryam that their narrative wasn’t acceptable to them.
