Dar announces decrease in oil prices

Federal Minister Ishaq Dar has announced a decrease in the prices of petroleum products, providing the inflation-hit people with relief.
According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, the federal minister made the announcement during a press conference.
He said the government has decreased the price of petrol by Rs.12.63 per litre; light speed diesel by Rs10:78 per litre, HSD 12.13 per litre and Kerosene oil by Rs10.19 per litre.
Dar said that the decision to reduce the prices of petroleum products has been taken after consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The new price of petrol will be Rs224.80 per litre from October 1 and the rate of kerosene will be Rs191.83 per litre.
The cost of high-speed diesel will be Rs235.30 per litre and light-speed diesel oil Rs186.50
The finance minister also made an announcement of a 31-day extension to the date of filing tax returns.
According to the Finance Division, the government decided to decrease the prices of petroleum products in the wake of the reduction of petroleum products prices in the international market and with a view to providing relief to the consumers.
