Pakistan, UK stage White Star naval exercise in Arabian Sea

Pakistan Navy and British Royal Navy conducted a joint naval exercise ‘White Star’ in the Arabian Sea on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a spokesperson of the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Navy ships PNS Aslat and PNS Taimur, and British Royal Navy ship HMS Lancaster participated in the naval exercise.
Maritime patrol aircraft of Pakistan Navy, aircraft of Pakistan Air Force and helicopters of Royal Navy also participated in the exercise while various naval operations also were demonstrated during the exercise, spokesman said.
The spokesman said Deputy Commander of Combined Maritime Forces of British Royal Navy participating in the exercise also met with senior officers of Pakistan Navy.
He said these naval exercises are a manifestation of Pakistan Navy's commitment to regional peace and stability.
