Former federal minister Salim Saifullah Khan on Friday attributed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) ‘dismal’ performance in the local bodies’ (LBs) elections held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to bypassing the party’s local leadership in the distribution of party tickets, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the media in Bannu, he said that the animosity between Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Hasham Inamullah cost the ruling party seats in Lakki Marwat.
He further said that at a time when there was a greater need for development, southern parts of KP lagged behind other parts of the province.
“Since both we and the PTI are opposed to the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), its high time we created unity in our ranks,” he stressed.
Former federal minister said that opposition to the Kurram Tangi Dam, which was beneficial for the people of Bannu, Karak and Lakki Marwat, amounted to depriving the nation of development.
