Under the dynamic leadership of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, 2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements for Pakistan in counterterrorism, military diplomacy, and economic stability, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.

In a bold stance, the army chief declared, “The life of a single Pakistani is more important than Afghanistan.” Pakistan continues to express concerns over cross-border terrorism originating from Afghan soil.

The military carried out over 59,000 successful operations, neutralising 925 terrorists, including top leaders like Fida-ur-Rehman and Ali Rehman alias Taha Swati. More than 73 high-value targets were eliminated, and hundreds were arrested.

This relentless campaign forced 14 wanted terrorists to surrender, while two suicide bombers were captured, averting catastrophic attacks.

On the economic front, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) achieved key milestones, strengthening trade ties with international partners, boosting remittances, and elevating the stock exchange to historic levels.

With SIFC's support, trade relations with several international countries have been strengthened, and the measures taken under its guidance have demonstrated clear prospects for improving the economy. Interest rates dropped, and fears of default were dispelled.

In the year 2024, significant success was achieved on the diplomatic front as Pakistan hosted the SCO conference. The prime ministers of China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan participated in the conference, along with other high-ranking officials, including the vice president of Iran and the foreign minister of India.

This year, the heads of several key countries visited Pakistan and signed multiple agreements. Military diplomacy fostered stronger ties, leading to increased foreign investments.

The National Logistics Cell opened trade routes with Central Asia, Russia, and the UAE, while new legislation curbed fake news and misinformation, reinforcing national unity.

2024 has showcased Pakistan’s resilience, emerging as a beacon of progress and a powerful voice for the oppressed in Gaza, Lebanon, and Kashmir.
