Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has taken a swipe at the Punjab government for leaving the residents of Murree in the lurch, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The locals came forward and provided the stranded tourists with relief after the blizzard that claimed 23 lives of tourists in the hill station, he said.

The government has made six transfers and postings of six officers in three years, he alleged adding the rulers have been doing this just for minting money.

The government taking the decisions in haste to serve their vested interest, the ex-PM said, adding that the facts are being hidden and the curfew-like situation has triggered panic among the tourists, inflicting big damage upon the residents of Murree
