ECP asks CMs to complete transfer and postings

The chief election commission has written letters to the chief ministers of Punjab and KP to complete the transfers and postings at the earliest, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

According to sources, the ECP directed the CMs to complete the process of transfers and postings of the officers including chief secretaries and IGs.

The commission stated in the letter that it will soon release the election schedule, the sources said, adding that to conduct transparent elections in the provinces, all possible transfer posting processes should be completed.

Any type of transfer will be stopped after the election schedule is released.

According to insiders, the election commission will write a letter to the KP CM over unsatisfactory performance for the general elections.

The Election Commission will call the KP CM and ask him to speed up the process, the sources said, adding that the commission showed satisfaction with the Punjab chief minister's performance.
