Woman dumps one-day-old daughter after slitting throat

Police arrested a woman for slitting the throat of her one-day-old girl and dumping her in a field in a Daska village of Punjab, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday.
Lawmen and rescuers rushed to the spot and took the baby to a hospital.
The woman confessed she gave birth to the girl out of wedlock and she committed the gruesome crime in a bid to hide it.
The parents of the baby are 25-year-old Rabab and Saqib. A case has been registered and the probe is underway
