The eagerly awaited first complete solar eclipse of the year is poised to captivate the world on the night of April 8th and 9th. However, according to the Meteorological Department, Pakistan will unfortunately not witness this celestial phenomenon.
According to details, commencing at 8:42 PM Pakistani time on April 8th, the solar eclipse is anticipated to reach its zenith at 11:17 PM before concluding at 1:52 AM on April 9th.
Although Pakistan remains outside the eclipse's viewing path, enthusiasts in Western Europe, and North and South America are in for a treat as they will have the opportunity to witness this celestial spectacle.
Moreover, the first total solar eclipse of the year is set to grace the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic Oceans with its awe-inspiring presence. Notably, this event marks the first time since August 2017 that a total solar eclipse will be observed in the United States. Subsequently, residents in the region will have to wait until August 2044 for the next opportunity to experience this celestial marvel.
It's worth noting that the last total solar eclipse occurred globally in December 2021, although it was observed exclusively in Uttar Pradesh, India. While Pakistan may miss out on this celestial display, enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the mesmerizing spectacle that is the total solar eclipse of 2024.
