ECP releases report of delimitations, voters can file objections till June 30

The Election Commission has published the initial report of delimitations of the constituencies, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, any voter of the constituency can file an objection to the initial delimitations of the constituencies till June 30, 2022. Any objections will not be accepted if sent by courier, post or fax.
As per the report, the ECP will decide on the objections received from the voters from July 1 to July 30. The objections will have to be submitted to the ECP Secretary in case of a Memorandum.
The report said that the voter will submit at least eight copies of the objections and maps to the Election Commission.
As per the initial report, six seats of FATA have been reduced while the total number of constituencies in the National Assembly has also been reduced from 272 to 266.
The total number of National Assembly constituencies from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be 45, Islamabad will have 3 National Assembly constituencies, and Punjab will retain 141 National Assembly constituencies, Sindh 61 and Balochistan 16 constituencies.
The Election Commission made constituencies on the basis of population, the report said adding that the largest constituency of the National Assembly will be NA-81 Hafizabad having a population of 1.15 million.
While the smallest constituency in the National Assembly will be NA-42 Tank which is formed with a population of 0.42 million.
