Police authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday imposed a ban on police officers and personnel making TikTok videos.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the announcement was made through a circular issued by SP Operations.

The SP Operations said in the official circular that no police officer or personnel is allowed to share videos on social media.

As per the circular, the ban included the creation of all types of videos as it is believed to impact police performance negatively.

The circular warned the police personnel and officers that strict disciplinary action would be taken in case of any violations of this directive.

Police sources said that this ban was implemented following criticism from both opposition and government members in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
