MQM delegation calls on PM, expresses concerns over power, gas loadshedding

MQM Pakistan delegation led by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressed their concerns over power as well as gas loadshedding in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting held at the PM House Islamabad, the delegation claimed that the citizens of Sindh were seriously worried about inflation and loadshedding of electricity and gas besides the heavy bills, therefore the Centre should come up with a solution.
MQM also raised the issue of unemployment in Karachi and Hyderabad. The delegation complained to the PM that the provincial government was not providing due employment share to the youth of urban Sindh despite the quota, therefore, the federal government should intervene and support the urban youth.
The MQM also demanded the early completion of the K-4 project and new development projects in Karachi, Hyderabad, spokesperson MQM.
MQM also sought 5-year socio-economic & cultural development plan for Karachi. The Prime Minister assured the delegation that it will direct the provincial government to provide jobs to the youth of Sindh on merit, moreover, the federal government will offer loans for business under the Khushal Youth Program.
The federal government will provide interest-free loans to the citizens of Sindh for solar panels in collaboration with the Akhut Foundation, the Prime Minister assured MQM.
Shehbaz Sharif also promised relief to the citizens of Sindh in the upcoming budget. The Prime Minister informed the MQM delegation about the UAE government's investment in the Desalination Plant in Karachi.
The central government was serious in solving the problems of citizens of Sindh and soon the problem of loadshedding of electricity and gas will be controlled, assured the Prime Minister.
MQM spokesperson said the delegation informed the Prime Minister about the concerns regarding the amendments in the NAB rules.
The MQM delegation also presented important suggestions regarding the budget. The MQM delegation comprised Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mustafa Kamal, Farooq Sattar, Syed Aminul Haque, Javed Hanif and Hafeezuddin. While Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Ahad Cheema and Rana Sana were also present during the meeting.
