Indus River claims two lives in Attock

Two people Tuesday lost their lives while bathing in the Indus River in Attock, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
One of the incidents took place at Attock Khurd where a 12-year-old resident of Wah Cantt named Ahsan drowned in the river.
The other incident occurred in Mari where an 18-year-old resident of Muraqba Hall named Ghulam Jaffar drowned in the deep waters of a nearby pond and died.
The rescue personnel handed over both the dead bodies to the next of their kin while the District administration imposed a strict ban on bathing and swimming in rivers and lakes.
Section 144 was also imposed which prohibits public gatherings in the specific territory.
