Punjab launches Dastak app for online registration of certificates

 CM Maryam says govt committed to helping citizens at doorstep

Punjab Chief Minister Punjab has launched the Dastak app, which will enable citizens to apply for various govt certificates online, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Dastak app at a local hotel and the project cost Rs 535 million from the national exchequer.

Now the residents of Punjab can apply for domicile, e-stamping, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage and divorce certificates from their home through the app and after the application, the representatives of the government department will reach the house and make the necessary documentation and after the completion of the document, the certificates will be delivered at the doorstep of the applicant.

Through this app, citizens will now be able to apply for certificates online, can avoid waits in long queues and without going to the respective offices. Moreover, transfer of vehicle, bikes, property tax, token tax and new vehicle registration has been made easy through the app.

Addressing the participants, CM Maryam said that Punjab government has completed its another commitment of serving the citizens at their doorstep.

She said apart from ten services, the Punjab government was trying to provide 330 services through Dastak app. She cvlaimed that this project will create jobs for over 70,000 youth.

She said during Ramadan, people used to face troubles during Ramadan package which was now delivered to their homes.

Maryam Nawaz said 32 field hospitals were working in different villages, X-ray laboratory, gynecology and medicine are also available there. Field hospitals are treating six thousand people on daily basis. CM Maryam claimed that Punjab government will provide drugs of hepatitis, cardiology and cancer among the needy.

Earlier, CM Punjab chaired a special meeting to review progress on road construction, expansion and rehabilitation projects. Secretary C&W Sohail Ashraf gave a detailed briefing on the road maintenance program across the province.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the concerned departments to ensure the implementation of the deadline for the construction, repair, and rehabilitation of roads. She said the goal of completing the construction and repair of Punjab's roads should be achieved at all costs. Chief Minister Maryam was also briefed on the construction and maintenance projects of 5 major expressways.
