Two alleged dacoits were killed by firing of civilians on Attuwala bridge while the accused were looting people near Kharian Gujrat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to police, the bodies of the slain dacoits were taken into custody by the police.

However, sources said the robbers who robbed the passers-by last night were caught by the local people.

In this regard local people said that a four-member dacoit gang was committing crimes in the same area every day.

Police said one bandit died on the spot due to fire while the other jumped into the canal in injured condition.

The body of the bandit who jumped into the canal was also retrieved.

One bandit identified as Waseem belongs to Meer area of Galiana police station while the other dead bandit has not been identified yet, Police said.
