Federal govt makes strategy to use army to stop PTI’s long march

Decides to take strict action against individuals, organizations providing logistical, financial support to Long March

The federal government Tuesday formulated a decisive strategy to stop the expected long march of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) toward Islamabad.
To stop the participants of the long march to enter Islamabad, the government has decided to use Pakistan Army and hand over Red Zone to it.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the government has decided that the Long March will not be allowed to enter Islamabad under any circumstances.
The security of government buildings and diplomatic enclaves located in the red zone will be handed over to the Pakistan Army while services of Sindh Police, Rangers and FC will also be taken along with Islamabad Police.
As per the report, there will be a ban on carrying any firearm in the city as well as a strict action will be taken against individuals and organizations who will provide logistical and financial support to the Long March.

According to the sources of the Ministry of Interior, an important meeting was held in the Ministry under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan and security agencies briefed him regarding PTI's long march.
The meeting was told that the number of PTI Long March participants is likely to be between 15,000 and 20,000.
The sources said it was decided in the meeting that 30,000 personnel of Islamabad police, Sindh Police, FC and Rangers will be arranged for peace and order while Pak Army will be deployed in Islamabad under Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
It was decided in the meeting that federal employees who accompanied the PTI Long March and provided support will be fully identified and action will be taken against them.
