Akhtar Mengal refuses to withdraw his resignation
BNP-M chief says he was raising voice about missing persons, other issues but none was paying attention to it

Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) MNA Akhtar Mengal has refused to take back decision regarding his resignation from National Assembly by saying that he was talking about Balochistan issue for a long time but the government was not paying heed to it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Talking to media after holding meeting with govt committee which met him under the leadership of Rana Sanaullah, Akhtar Mengal claimed that he was raising voice about missing persons and mutilated bodies but none was paying attention to it. He said there was no use to sit an assembly which is unable to resolve public issue.
He said many senior politicians who played a role between Balochistan and the state were killed. Akhtar Mengal said he was not talking in French or any other foreign language that the government was not apprehending.
Earlier the government and opposition started joint efforts to convince Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) chief Akkhtar Mengal to take back his decision to resign from National Assembly.
PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah after meeting with Akhtar Mengal told media said that “Akhtar Mengal is our brother and he surprised us and people of his constituency with his resign.
Sanullah said "he did not bring anything like this to our notice before. We will sit with him and talk to him and will listen his complaints". He said the committee will share his concerns with Prime Minsiter Shehbaz Sharif.
In this regard, a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) consisting of Asad Qaisar, Hamid Raza, Umer Ayub, Akhwanzada Hussain Yousafzai, Amir Dogar and Hassan Raoof met Akhtar Mengal at his residence in Islamabad. During the meeting, the PTI delegation insisted Akhtar Mengal to take back the resignation and join hand with PTI fight while staying inside the Parliament.
After meeting, PTI MNA Asad Qaiser told media that they requested Akhtar Mengal to withdraw his decision. However, Akhtar Mengal said he would think about their suggestions. Asad Qaiser said “we are trying to call an all-party conference on Balochistan”.
Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar has said that “we requested Akhtar Mengal to withdraw his resignation. I don't think this is a good decision and asked him to reconsider his decision and don't leave the assembly forum”.
