A ban has been imposed on officers and personnel taking lifts on highways, including Ring Road, GT Road, and Motorways.

According to a directive, any officers or personnel found stopping vehicles to take lifts on these roads will be suspended.

The directive was issued by the DIG Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP), highlighting that officers and personnel are frequently seen stopping vehicles to hitch a ride on these highways.

The directive further states that strict departmental action will be taken against anyone caught stopping vehicles to take lifts in the future.
