A joint venture of private companies has secured the 25-year lease of Royal Palm Club by placing the highest bid ever made in Pakistan’s history for acquiring a club lease, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The winning consortium includes Pakistan Services Limited, Warm Water Advisory Group, Platinum Construction, and GolfScape Portugal.

The bidding process, overseen by the Supreme Court, was initiated by Pakistan Railways in January 2022.

The consortium has committed to enhancing recreation, hospitality, and sports facilities at the club, with significant investment planned for its renovation and upgrading.

Key improvements will include the upgrade of the golf course, sports facilities, dining options, and event spaces.

The project will prioritise the development of five-star guest rooms for members, offering at least 100 guest rooms with views of the golf course.

To maintain the esteemed reputation of the club, the new management will seek feedback from members through a series of "strategic advisory meetings," inviting suggestions and introducing new features based on the collected feedback.
