The ongoing process of outsourcing Islamabad Airport has faced yet another delay, as the tender deadline has been extended for the fifth time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has officially announced that the new deadline for submitting tenders has been pushed to October 7.

According to sources within the Ministry of Aviation, the extension comes as a result of a lack of interest shown by the bidders.

This lackluster response has prompted the authorities to further extend the tender date, hoping to attract potential bidders.

The federal government has expressed intentions to outsource Karachi and Lahore airports following the completion of the Islamabad Airport outsourcing process.

However, the repeated extensions raise concerns about the feasibility and attractiveness of these plans to potential stakeholders.
