Project of construction of homes for Punjab police martyrs nears completion

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released Rs9.5 million to the families of 15 police personnel, who were martyred before 2017, for the construction of their homes as the project nears its completion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman for the Punjab Police, seven families of the martyrs have been paid the last installment of Rs0.5 million for the purpose.
He has informed that four families have been paid Rs1 million each in double installments, while an equal number of families have been paid Rs0.5 million each.
On the other hand, the IGP has said that the remaining work on the construction of these homes would be completed with the cooperation of concerned RPOs and DPOs.
Informing that the provincial police have so far released over Rs30 million to 23 families from its Welfare Fund, Dr. Usman has directed all DPOs to remain in touch with the families of all martyrs of the Force.
The IGP has also directed the district police to fulfill the needs of the families of these martyrs from their resources.
