Islamabad police book five PTI workers, two injured in torture

Islamabad Police allegedly tortured five workers of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) in a custody, as a result, two of them were seriously injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to the details, Shahzad Town police have started arrest of PTI’s local workers and registered cases against them.

Police arrested four accused last night and also arrested one of the workers, Khurram Shehzad's father.

The five arrested are also relatives of former PTI National Assembly member Raja Khurram Nawaz.

Police have registered two separate cases of trying to release some arrested people from police custody forcefully, confrontation, and an attempt to suicide.

The medical examination of two injured workers was conducted in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on the order of the local court.
