As the row between the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Pakistan Bar Council has been intensified, the acting secretary has suspended the SCBA president, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, acting secretary Hafza Bokhari with the approval of 10 members of the SCBA suspended the Bar’s President Abid Zubairi from holding his office on Friday.

The SCBA suspended its secretary and additional secretary last night and gave Hafza Bokhari an additional charge of the SCBA secretary.

SCBA bars entry of PBC members

Meanwhile, the SCBA has also banned the entry of the members of the Punjab Bar Council in the bar room.

The PBC members have been banned from entering the bar’s corridor and library.

The PBC chairman and its members could not avail any facility of the Supreme Court Bar.

A formal notification in this regard will be issued by the Supreme Court Bar shortly.

The Supreme Court Bar Association Thursday night suspended the membership of seven members of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).

The SCBA's membership of PBC's Executive Committee Chairman Hasan Raza Pasha, members Amjad Shah Riaz, Ali Sehar, Tariq Afridi, Masood Chishti, Ahsan Bhawan and Qalb-e-Hasan Shah has been suspended.

Secretary Muqtadir said an illegal attempt was made by the Pakistan Bar Council to take over the Supreme Court Bar while the council's members were also involved in misbehaviour.
