A special task force has been established to ensure the implementation of the minimum wage of 37,000 rupees, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

According to the report, to guarantee the payment of wages, transactions will be made through bank accounts, Easypaisa, and JazzCash.

Protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to workers in the construction sector by October 1st. A decision has also been made to take strict action against child labour across Punjab.

The Labor Department has set up a complaints cell for the immediate resolution of workers' issues, and a helpline (1314) has been finalized to address complaints promptly.

The identity of the complainants will be kept confidential, according to the Provincial Labor Minister. Additionally, women performing equal work will be given equal pay as men, emphasised the Labour Minister.
