A local court in Islamabad has adjourned the hearing of a case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi till April 28, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senior Civil Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch on Saturday conducted the hearing on a petition filed by a citizen Muhammad Hanif complaining that Imran Khan and Bushra solemnized Nikah when Bushra Bibi was still in Iddat (waiting period for a divorcee or a widow).
During today’s proceedings, the petitioner requested the court to adjourn the hearing as Nikah reciter Mufti Saeed, a key witness in the case, had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Accepting his plea, the judge put off the case till April 28.
