Nepra approves power tariff increase

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has given go head to Discos to make 8 paisa per unit increase in electricity tariff, 24NewsHD TV channel 

The authority approved the increase under the September fuel adjustment head, according to a notification.

The CPPA-G made a request to the authority for an increase of 20 paise per unit, the notification said, adding that the authority held a public hearing and granted the increase.

This will be applicable only to bills for the month of November. Lifeline connections and K-Electric consumers are exempted.
