Nepra cuts power tariff by Rs1.14 per unit for October

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Friday approved a Rs1.14 per unit decrease in power tariff keeping in view the fuel price adjustment for the month of October 2024. 

According to Nepra, CPPAG had submitted an application for a Rs1.14 per unit cut in power tariff under FCA. Nepra conducted a public hearing of this application on November 26, 2024, and announced a tariff cut days later. The cut in power tariff will be applicable to consumers of all DISCOs except lifeline consumers, prepaid consumers and electric vehicle charging stations. 

Also, this decrease in power tariff will not be applicable to K-Electric consumers.
