Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov met Pakistan Ambassador to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan
Matters related to bilateral relations and cooperation in the various fields including energy came under discussion during the meeting.
The Russian minister praised the Pak envoy’s role in cementing bilateral ties and expressed his gratitude for successfully holding the Inter-Governmental Commission of the two countries.
Nikolay Shagenov laid stress on bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially the energy sector.
“We look forward to a further productive energy dialogue between Russia and Pakistan," Nikolai Shulginov said.
“It is necessary to accelerate the creation of a working group for the preparation and further implementation of a comprehensive plan for the development of the gas industry in Pakistan.”
The ambassador reiterated Islamabad’s resolve to cement ties with Mosco.
