Are you struggling to find a sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast? Here are some tips to help you find a good sunscreen that suits your skin tone. When using sunscreen, it's important to ensure it's moisturized to prevent the skin from looking grey, ashy, or purple.

Dry skin can sometimes look grey or ashy before sunscreen is applied, so the sunscreen will only make this worse. Mineral sunscreens create a physical barrier to block the sun, but this barrier can often leave a white cast on the skin.

Chemical sunscreens contain UV rays that absorb light rather than reflect it like mineral sunscreens. This means that they don’t leave a white cast and are perfect for those with a dark skin tone.

Those with sensitive skin should opt for a tinted mineral sunscreen. It will protect you from the sun and even out your skin tone. Experts say that everyone, regardless of skin tone, should use at least SPF 30 on the face to protect the skin properly.
