Lahore police arrest famous DJ Butt

The sound engineer, disc jockey (DJ) Butt — whose real name is Asif Butt —has been arrested from Bank Square Market in Model Town area of Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Model Town Police Station SHO said DJ Butt has been arrested for violating the coronavirus guidelines. 

Sindh Minister for ‏‏Agriculture, Home, Mines and Minerals Sohail Anwar Sial condemned the arrest of DJ Butt. In a tweet, Sohail Anwar Sial said, “DJ Butt who has been given the responsibility of installing sound system for upcoming 13th December PDM rally in Lahore has been taken into custody by the authorities. PTI's selected government has been so autocratic that it seems like we are living in a Police State.”

It is pertinent to note that DJ Butt first met with Imran Khan in April 2011 and had been associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf for a long time, before shifting his loyalties towards PML-N. He has all the songs and clips for all the political and religious parties of the country.
