Gold, silver prices surprisingly go up on ‘Budget Day’ in Pakistan

During the last four business market days, the Pakistani jewellers’ bazaar got a big decrease of Rs4,400 per tola in gold prices but on Friday, the rates of yellow metal surprisingly go up on ‘Budget Day’ in Pakistan.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the prices of 24 karats of pure gold were increased by Rs2,300 to Rs2,29,300 per tola in Pakistan’s jewellers market on Friday.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold was increased by Rs1,972 to Rs1,96,588 per 10 grams while the prices of 22 karats of gold were also reduced and traded at Rs1,80,205 per 10 grams.

In the international market, the price of gold was increased by US$19 per ounce to US$1,965 per ounce.
While the price of 24 karats of pure silver also increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs2,650 per tola and the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of gold increased by Rs42.86 to Rs2,271.94 per 10 grams in the local market.
