Following the transfer of IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir, Punjab government has decided to remove incumbent Punjab Law Secretary Nazir Ahmad Gajana and recently retired Sessions Judge Bahadur Ali Khan will be appointed as the new law secretary, 24NewsHD TV channel reported quoting its sources.
Sources maintained that Law secretary Nazir Ahmad Gajana has been given one-month notice by the Punjab government because of his objection in the upcoming Judicial Academy Service Act.
The Punjab government is on a transfer spree as the Centre and Punjab government on Tuesday replaced Capt (retd) Shoaib Dastgir and got a new person Inam Ghani to lead the police force.
As per the notification issued Tuesday afternoon, Inam Ghani, who was previously serving as the Additional IGP (South Punjab), thus became the sixth person to serve as the Punjab Police chief under the PTI government which came into power in August 2018.
Inam Ghani before taking charge of IG Punjab met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday. Usman Buzdar directed the newly appointed IGP to uphold the meritocracy and asked him not to take any pressure while performing his duties, the TV channel reported.
Policy party gave a guard of honour on the arrival of IGP Inam Ghani to the Inspector General of Police office.
