Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi strongly criticized the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that anyone who cannot maintain the state's writ is likely aligned with terrorists.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the KP governor's remarks came during a media talk at a four-day art exhibition at Centaurus Mall in Islamabad on Monday.
Governor Kundi emphasised that terrorism is at its peak in the province and urged the Home Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to convene an emergency meeting to address the deteriorating security situation.
He called on the Chief Minister to seek a vote of confidence, criticizing the language used by the CM as condemnable and stressing that women are highly respected in Pashtun culture. He also urged the federal government to take action.
Pertinent to mention here that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur used abusive language against a female chief minister while addressing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Islamabad yesterday.
Governor Kundi reiterated that those involved in the May 9 incidents are trying to repeat such acts, and with a two-week ultimatum in place, he noted the need to observe the developments closely.
He mentioned that the Chief Minister had sought permission to appoint an advisor, but he rejected the summary, asserting that he must operate within constitutional boundaries.
Praising the art exhibition, Governor Kundi acknowledged the participation of skilled individuals from various regions, highlighting the event's successful organization and the showcase of diverse talents.
