A woman, who had been hit by a speeding car in Askari XI area of Lahore, died on Tuesday after remaining hospitalized for two days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

CCTV footage of the incident shows a car coming out of a gate and hitting the woman while she was right in the middle of the road while crossing it and knocking her down.

The footage also shows the woman's daughter standing a few steps away from her mother and later running toward her screaming after seeing her lying on the road in a pool of blood.  

The driver, however, fled from the spot, leaving the car behind, while the police, on the other hand, registered a case and started a manhunt for the driver.
