PTI-SIC MNA Zartaj Gul said on Monday that the PML-N was the main beneficiary of incidents of violence on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to media outside an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi after the hearing of her case was over, she said she was in Dera Ghazi Khan on May 9 and it was through media reports she learnt that she had been declared a proclaimed offender (PO) in one of the May 9-related cases. “And when I talked to my lawyers, it dawned upon me that I had been nominated in 14 cases,” Zartaj said, and added, “The purpose of registration of an FIR against me was that the authorities wanted me to quit PTI.”

She lamented that she had not been provided with copies of the FIRs registered against her.

PTI-SIC leader said she appealed to the country’s establishment that now it was time to apply brakes. “The fact that PTI leaders are appearing in courts is a proof that they are law-abiding citizens of the country,” she concluded.
