Funeral prayers of martyrs of Khyber terrorist attack offered

The funeral prayers of two police officials and a passerby who were martyred in the terrorist attack in Khyber district have been offered in Landikotal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The funeral prayers of the martyrs were performed at the Landikotal Tatara ground in which Police, FC officials and local elders participated.

A team of armed police saluted the body of the martyrs and placed flowers on the bodies.

Later, bodies of martyrs were sent to their native areas for burial.

It should be mentioned here that terrorists attacked the police station in Landikotal last night, in which two policemen and one passerby were martyred while one policeman and one passerby were seriously injured.

The injured are being given medical aid at Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the incident of firing on policemen in Khyber area.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed regret over the martyrdom of two policemen and a civilian.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

In his message, Mohsin Naqvi said the martyred officers were brave soldiers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.

We express our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs, Mohsin Naqvi said.

The brave sons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have sacrificed their precious lives for the peace of the country, Mohsin Naqvi added.
