LPG cylinder price hiked by Rs22.88

It is not just the high-speed diesel as the government has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) too for the month of December, adding to the miseries of citizens who are already being crushed by an unprecedented inflation.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the price of domestic use 11.8-kg cylinder has surged by Rs22.88 as a result of the latest move and is now available for Rs1,553.22.
In this connection, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a notification which says that the LPG rate has been increased by Rs1.93 per kilogramme.
Earlier, the finance ministry had notified new prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days under which the high-speed diesel price was increased by Rs4 per litre. However, there is no change in the case of petrol, light speed diesel and kerosene.
Reports said that the OGRA had recommended an increase in fuel prices including an Rs2.55 hike in per litre price of petrol.
